In the steps of winemaking, the company BELLA BROS OE began its operation in 1994. It cultivates vineyards in the Alanya region, produces wine and distills tsipouro and ouzo from fine grapes, following the centuries-old tradition of Soufli.

Thanasis Bellas explains that his family has been involved in winemaking and distillation since 1870.

Alongside the winery - distillery - distillery, the Bellas brothers created a beautiful 330-acre vineyard. "We revived three native varieties, vinified them with excellent results. The Byzantine label comes from the Karnachalas variety, it is unique in the world and exists in an organized vineyard of 20 acres on our estate and indicatively only in Tenedos. It is a variety of Central and Eastern Thrace, found in Byzantium. It has a unique taste and aroma. In a four-year study by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on Thracian varieties, the results were excellent, which is why we invested in Karnachalas with the aim of giving the region an identity," describes Thanasis Bellas. Also, the Onos Wine is from the Thracian Keratsouda variety. "In collaboration with the Friends of the Vine and Wine Association "O Stafylos" we created an experimental vineyard on our estate with 17 local varieties," he notes, expressing his confidence in the bargaining value of native varieties.

The winery has the capacity to produce 350 tons of wine and 200 tons of tsipouro. The wine is available in 12 750 ml labels, 3 500 ml labels and 4 professional labels. They also sell BELLAS tsipouro, with and without anise. Their new product is Alani tsipouro, which is milder, following the Southern European trend of reducing alcohol. BELLAS wines are available throughout Greece, in wineries, mini markets, restaurants and delicatessens and are also exported to China and Germany.
